Registration Day
Registration Day
Registration day is critical to preparing for participation in the Tiger Band program. At registration day, band families are required to complete payment of any remaining band dues. New for 2025, we will NOT collect any deposit checks for volunteer hours; instead we will collect membership dues up front, and if the family works shifts, then credits can be earned. (See below for full description) For new members, payment is also required for the rehearsal uniform package, marching shoes, and (depending on instrument) marching gloves (see below for pricing). For returning members, this is also when payment will be made for any rehearsal or performance wear items that need to be replaced. There will be opportunities to purchase optional spirit wear items and music supplies, as well as get information about volunteering. The Director of Bands and many KCBA volunteers will be available to answer questions and help you get ready for the upcoming band season.
2025-2026 Volunteer Credit Policy
Families can earn credits for volunteering and completing a flag route and/or TCGC Color Guard show shifts throughout the year. Each flag route or TCGC shift is worth a $50 credit per route/shift (up to a $200 maximum per household) when they participate in these specific volunteer opportunities. Flag routes and TCGC show shifts (filled by an adult volunteer) are the ONLY way to earn volunteer credits as these events are fundraising activities for the program that are only successful when there are enough volunteers to make them work. Credits will be tallied at the end of the school year in May 2026, based on CutTime sign-up and verification of participation from the event committee chair and/or volunteer coordinator and applied to the membership dues for the following school year. Any credits earned by families with students who graduate or leave the program AND have a zero open balance due on their KCBA account will be issued a check for the earned credit in May.
